Our elected officials are relentless in trying to weaken the traditional family unit. You can see in the headline that they want teachers and policemen as authority figures over children in lieu of parents. They want the parents to react to their directives. So they’re floating a trial balloon in Texas. But, if successful, it will spread like wildfire. The Texas Bill intends to give school officials the authority to force psychological screenings of students that teachers and staff diagnose as having mental health issues. Once the process is set in motion, parents would be forced to take their child to a mental health professional within 30 days, under threat of suspension of the child from school. This is more of a police state.

Even if successful how does a law like this suddenly qualify a teacher to become a psychologist? One undeserving and incorrect prognosis like this from a non-professional can affect a child for a lifetime. Unless they’ve had professional training and are certified to diagnose disorders, it can also be illegal. Texas State Representative Jason Villalba (R-Dallas) is sponsoring H.B. 985 as he tries to solve certain behavioral problems in children with the force of the state. They want unqualified teachers to give student information to police departments. This is how a police state interacts.

To ask your elected officials if they would support a Bill like Texas H.B. 985 which gives unqualified teachers the ability to mandate psychological screenings of children take action
